Public input
The development of any Groundwater Management Plan is a collaborative process involving all interested stakeholders. The public is encouraged to participate in the development of this Plan.
The public has several options to provide input during the development of the Plan:
- Public Hearings
- Public Meetings
- Advisory Committee
- Direct Communication
Two public hearings will be held by the Western Municipal Water District Board, one to consider adoption of a resolution of intent to draft a Groundwater Management Plan at the beginning of the process and one to consider adoption of the plan at the end of the process. These hearings are open to the public. Participation in the hearings and communication with elected officials is encouraged. Dates and information for these meetings can be found on the Meetings tab of the Plan web page, ArlingtonPlan.com
Two meetings will be held during the development of the plan to update the public on progress made on the plan and to gather input on components of the plan. Participation in the meetings is encouraged. Dates and information for these meetings can be found on the Meetings tab of the Plan web page, ArlingtonPlan.com
In addition to input from the public, the Plan will be developed in coordination with an Advisory Committee of interested stakeholders. The Advisory Committee will guide the development of the plan. Parties interested in sitting on the Advisory Committee should use the contacts found on the Contacts tab of the Plan web page, ArlingtonPlan.com
Direct communication by telephone, email, and mail is also encouraged. Comments can be sent to Western Municipal Water District project manager or the consultant project manager. Please see the Contacts page for more information.
